Service Description

Description: We are thrilled to invite you to a dynamic and enriching weekend dedicated to the maintenance of your certification and the advancement of your professional development. This event is tailored specifically for Active or Paddle Canada Moving Water Tandem and Solo Canoe Instructors, providing an invaluable and fun opportunity to stay current in your certification, review curriculum and best practices, and share innovative teaching strategies, tips and tricks. Event Overview: Friday: Join us for optional flat water sessions. -Stroke Mechanics and Improvement -Maneuvers -Flat Water Progressions Saturday: This is the mandatory day to attend to receive maintenance status. This clinic is meticulously designed to cater to the specific needs of each stream it addresses, ensuring that you receive targeted and relevant insights. Our certified instructor trainers will guide you through the latest industry standards, offering a comprehensive review of teaching elements, benchmarks, evaluation, and assessment techniques. Saturday Evening: Evening session and fireside chat. Games and Prizes! Sunday: This is a day for fun, professional development, and people with multiple streams (tandem/solo) to continue their maintenance. -Intermediate Solo canoe instructor maintenance sessions. -Rescue and retrieval practice. -Skill improvement and development Location: Canoe Meadows Kananaskis. Group Campground Dates: May 10 – 12, 2024 Checklist: All Paddlers are expected to bring their own equipment including: Canoe-OUTFITTED FOR WHITE WATER; END FLOATATION AND CENTRE FLOATATION WITH THROW BAG PANTER LINES. (rentals are available if needed) Throw bag (personal throw bag on a waist belt, PFD Helmet Paddle Drysuit/wetsuit/appropriate clothing Emergency Supplies *Please let your IT know where they are kept Kananaskis Park Pass Camping Equipment Meals and Snacks If you need equipment rentals please contact Green Tongue at greentongueadventures@gmail.com Cost Includes: Camping Instruction No meals or equipment are provided. Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule please contact us at least 1 week in advance. Cancelations 2 weeks in advance will receive full refund. Cancellations before one week 1 week deadline but after the two week cut off will incur a 20% admin fee. Last minute cancelations and no shows will have full booking fee retained. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances. We reserve to right to cancel for unsafe weather and river conditions with less than 24hrs of notice. Full refund granted for cancelations due to weather or restrictions, BECAUSE WE ARE AWESOME!
