The Industry Standard for Canoe Guides and Instructors: Paddle Canada instructors are internationally recognized professionals. The program is supported by dedicated and passionate instructors and instructor trainers who hold the profession of river instruction and guiding. The curriculum covers every aspect of instructing in the dynamic river environment. With decades of progression instilled in the program both standard and innovative approaches to teaching and skill development are covered. Teaching pedagogy technical theory group management principles safety operations emergency preplanning and preparedness lesson plans self and student rescue techniques practical teaching exercises practical skill analyzation and skill development detailed skills instructional progressions detailed technical stroke analysis and instruction body mechanics assessment and instruction micro feature assessment and utilization Four days, 9am-16:30.
