Service Description

Looking for an adrenaline-fueled adventure for your teen? Join us at GreenTongue for our Teen White Water Week on the Kananaskis River. Over five days, your teen will learn and improve their skills in white water sports such as swift water swimming, kayaking, canoeing and white water rafting. Our program includes the necessary gear such as dry suits, PFDs, and helmets, ensuring a safe and exciting experience for your teen. Don't wait, sign up now for an unforgettable week filled with adventure and skill-building. Five Day Itinerary Transport between site and Canmore available. This Itinerary is subject to change to meet the need and safety of the group. Every morning and afternoon we will spend time learning First Aid. Day One: Meet at Seebe at highway 1x. The group will under go icebreaking and storming games. Once warmed up we will introduce canoes and basic flat water canoe skill. In the afternoon we will take a run down the Kananaskis is rafts and get warmed up to rafting and introduce swimming and wading. Day two: Meet a Seebe again. Warm up and check in. this morning we will introduce Kayaking and practice wet exits. After a morning of kayaking and games we move again to the Kananaskis River for another run. On this second run we will introduce surfing the raft and find some bigger rapids to swim. Day Three: Meet at Seebe. Intro to Kayaking. This day we will introduce kayaks and how to get in and out of a Kayak. After lunch another raft trip down the Lower Kan. on this trip we will practice throw bagging and how to stay safe while attempting a companion rescue. Day Four: Meet at ghost dam Warm up and games. Voyager Canoe experience. The group will complete a run down the Bow River from Ghost dam to Cochrane. Our students will get the chance to steer the canoe and work as a team Day Five: We will star the day in Canoes reviewing what we have learned, and introducing current. After some great practice we will take the group onto the river and the students will be paddling their own canoes

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule please contact us at least 1 week in advance. Cancelations 2 weeks in advance will receive full refund. Cancellations before one week 1 week deadline but after the two week cut off will incur a 20% admin fee. Last minute cancelations and no shows will have full booking fee retained. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances. We reserve to right to cancel for unsafe weather and river conditions with less than 24hrs of notice. Full refund granted for cancelations due to weather or restrictions, BECAUSE WE ARE AWESOME!
